PAX CHRISTI, Lexington, is the host parish for the Diocese for the 24 Hours for the Lord, which includes Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and confession throughout the 24 hour period.
At the conclusion of his General Audience in the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall, the Pope recalled this event, promoted by the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, encouraging faithful to participate.
“I hope that our churches can remain open long to welcome those who wish to prepare for Easter, celebrating the sacrament of Reconciliation, and, in this way, experience God’s mercy.”
You are invited to come to PAX CHRISTI throughout the period, which will begin at 3pm on Friday, March 9th with the Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The 24 hours will close at 3pm on Saturday with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Fr. John List will celebrate Holy Mass at 9am on Saturday.
