New Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Formation Training require two levels of formation, (1) a basic understanding of the Spirituality of the Eucharist and (2) a Practicum Training to distribute Holy Communion. One of each of these two classes are be competed first.

"Practicum Training" - Sunday, March, 17 - 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
OR - Thursday, March 21 - 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in the church by Fr. Charles, AND (2)
"Spirituality of the Eucharist Class" - Saturday, March 23 at 9:30am, PLC, Room 1,
OR Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Life Center, Banquet Hall, by Deacon Mike Lynch. To register, please sign-up on the table-tablet in the church's Gathering Hall. For more information, contact Laura Hack at
[email protected] or 227-4511 ext. 2006. Ministers for the Sat. 5 p.m., Sun. 9:30 and 4:00 p.m., Holy Day and School Masses are needed.
Requirements to serve as an EOMHC at Good Shepherd:
1. Be a fully initiated Catholic sensing a call to serve others in this ministry.
2. Having a devotion for the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and His Mystical Body, the Church.
3. Be faithfully living a Sacramental life offering a devotional and public witness of living in union with the teachings of the Catholic Church. (i.e. - Catechism #1355, #1648-1651 - doctrine, sacramental marriage, etc.)
4. Be an active, faithful Catholic registered within our parish.
5. Be able to assist our parish clergy in the ministry of Holy Communion, or serve in their absence.
6. Be able to be commissioned by our bishop to serve in our parish.
