Our picnic will be on the soccer field behind the school gym.  Meat (pulled pork and hot dogs) and drinks are being provided, and families/individuals  are asked to bring the following, based upon your last name:  A-F: Desserts, G-L: Side dish (vegetable, fruit or vegetarian dish), M-R:  Salad or cole slaw, S-Z:  Appetizer or chips.

To assist us in planning, please RSVP on the GSCC Facebook event page or by signing up at the Picnic Information Table in the gathering area. We also will need volunteers to help pre, post and during the picnic.  Information on volunteering can be found in the Gathering Area or by contacting Debbie Brown ( [email protected] or 320-9168) or Terri Pelosi,  [email protected]or 330-7472.

Prayer for our Picnic: 
Lord, we thank you for your gift to us of being part of our parish community.  We thank you for all our friends, for the sense of belonging, for the work within the parish you give us to do.  We thank you for our pastor, staff, and all who are part of Good Shepherd.  Now, Lord, we pray especially for the upcoming parish picnic.
 
That You will send your special blessings on this communal event of fellowship, we pray to the Lord.
 
For everyone's openness to greet, welcome and engage with other parishioners, especially those we each may not know, we pray to the Lord.
 
For good mixing between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking parishioners, we pray to the Lord.
 
That inactive and less active Catholics of our parish, as well as KSU staff and students, our school and REP faculty, families, and alumni, and others seeking a church-home will attend and experience the goodness of both God and our parish, we pray to the Lord.
 
For everyone's safety, we pray to the Lord.
 
For good and mild weather on the day of our Parish Potluck Picnic, we pray to the Lord.
 
That all of us will find our way to participate and encourage participation by others, we pray to the Lord.
 
All this we ask through Christ your son, trusting that You will give exactly what we need.  Amen
