Cemetery prayers at the Frankfort Cemetery at noon Nov. 1-8.
To encourage us to pray for those who have died, the Church gives a plenary indulgence (applicable only to those who have died) each of the first 8 days in November if you go to a cemetery (any cemetery) and pray for those who have died. To gain the indulgence, you must also go to confession within a couple of weeks, be free of attachment to sin, go to communion within a few days, and say a prayer for the Holy Father.
If you would like to pray with others, come to the chapel building at the top of the hill in the Frankfort cemetery at 12 noon, Nov. 1 through Nov. 8. We pray scripture, say a rosary with meditations related to those undergoing purification, and say the Prayer of St. Gertrude.
