The Spiritual Life Committee meets once a month on the first Tuesday of the month, to plan and organize all the liturgical events for the parish. The Liturgy involves all aspects of the Mass
Altar Servers assist the priest and other ministers on the altar during the celebration of the Mass. This ministry is open to parishioners in fourth grade or older who have made their First Communion. . Altar Servers schedules are coordinated to promote family activities. Altar server preparation and training is provided on an as needed basis.
Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the ordained ministers in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and can deliver communion to the homebound

*. Preparation and training is required and provided by the parish. EMHC’s are then commissioned by the diocese.
Music Ministry helps to lead the congregation in singing. This ministry includes the Adult Choir, Cantors, Instrumentalists, and Spanish choir. The Adult Choir and Uzziah music groups alternate playing/singing at Sunday morning Masses. The Spanish Choir sings each Sunday at the 4pm Mass in Spanish. Instrumentalists and Cantors are scheduled on their availability.
Sacristans help prepare the sacred vessels before every Mass. Sacristans are needed for Weekend and Daily Masses. There is also a group within the Sacristans that take care of the purificators and Altar Cloths. Preparation and training is required and is provided.
Ushers assist people with seating, initiate the offertory collection, distribute bulletins after Mass and perform general duties to enhance the worship space environment during Mass. Ushers also select families or individuals to carry up the offertory gifts. If you would like to bring up the offertory gifts on occasion, please inform an usher prior to Mass.
