"In the call of Faithful Citizenship, with the KY Legislative Session being upon us beginning in January at the Capitol, a "Catholics at the Capital Advocacy Forum" will be hosted in Good Shepherd's Parish Life Center in Frankfort, KY (1050 Leestown Rd. or 70 Shepherd Way) on Sunday, January 6th just after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. "Catholics at the Capital" is a standing tradition of advocacy for Catholics and concerned citizens to learn of the political concerns that our annual legislative session plans to address in its slated agenda. During a "Catholics at the Capital" forum, many of these concerns are presented concisely and then examined from the perspective of Catholic Social Teachings and Gospel values as proposed from the collaboration of the four Catholic bishops of our Commonwealth through the Catholic Conference of Kentucky. During these forums, we invite and hope to have our area elected legislators join us, should they accept this invitation, to listen to our concerns, learn of the Catholic position on these matters and perhaps offer their responses to us and our questions. Everyone is cordially welcome to attend."
