Though the modern calendar year begins on January 1, Catholics know that the church year truly begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas--the first day of Advent. To celebrate the season, the Advent Candle will be lighted before Mass begins.
We need Volunteers to light the Advent Candle on any of the week-end Masses. That will be at Saturday's 5:00 pm, Sunday's 8:30 am or 10:30 am Masses. The Spanish Ministry will have their own volunteers for the Sunday 4:00 pm Mass said in Spanish.
