Deacon Tom Kaldy begins his 25th year of teaching and his thirteenth year at Good Shepherd Catholic School. He is currently teaching 2nd Grade. Previously, he taught for twelve years in public-school systems in Indiana and Kentucky teaching grades two through five. Deacon Tom has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. He is a Rank II teacher licensed to teach in both Kentucky and Indiana. He has been married for fifty-three years to LouAnna (Hornbeck). They have two daughters, Candice and Cheryl, and four grandchildren. Deacon Tom and his wife are native Kentuckians from Covington. Deacon Tom is also a military veteran serving eleven years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps and seventeen years in the Kentucky Army National Guard. He has been exposed to various cultures spending time in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Hong Kong, Egypt, England, and the Philippines. Deacon Tom was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 2012 and is assigned to Good Shepherd Parish.
