Tim Mallard spent 26 years living and working in music in New York City after having been born in Texas and raised in Hardin County, KY. While in New York, he earned his BA from Aaron Copland School of Music at City University of New York, served as a church music minister for 15 years and taught private music lessons to hundreds of students.
As a composer, Mr. Mallard has received honors from the New York State Council on the Arts and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He has performed as pianist and Music Director for such diverse organizations as Amato Opera, Queens Federation of Churches, Army Music & Theater, Opera of Lexington and the United Nations.
In 2009 Tim and his wife moved back to Kentucky to raise their daughter (a graduate of GSCS) in their beautiful home state. In his spare time Mr. Mallard likes to read, keep in touch with faraway family and friends, and walk his dog.
